Frequently asked questions
Which norms and standards does Normify support?
DNV, API, NORSOK, ISO, EN, IEC, ASME and ASTM are supported out of the box, including multi-part standards such as DNV-ST-F101. You can also upload your own company standards or project design basis and check documents against those.
Can I check documents against my own company standard?
Yes. Any PDF or Word standard can be compiled into a claim graph, so internal specifications, client standards and project design bases work exactly like a published norm.
Do my design documents leave the EU?
No. Documents are processed and stored in the Netherlands, and the language models run on closed servers inside Normify's own cloud infrastructure — your content never reaches OpenAI, Anthropic or any third-party model provider. Deployment inside your own VPC is available.
How accurate is it?
On our published benchmark, Normify recovers over 95% of labelled clause-level violations across 20 documents and 153 labelled findings. General-purpose LLMs prompted directly land around 50–60% on the same task. Every number and the methodology are published on the benchmarks page.
How does this differ from asking ChatGPT?
Normify pre-compiles each norm into a graph of atomic claims with their prerequisite chains, then walks that graph against your document with inline evidence verification. Every finding has to cite the verbatim clause and the passage that triggered it, which is what removes the clause-adjacency hallucinations a general-purpose model produces.
What document types and sizes can it handle?
PDF or Word documents up to roughly 600 pages — FEED packages, design bases, technical specifications, datasheets and IPCs. Findings export to Word or Excel for review and sign-off.
What does it cost to try?
